A project, stage, draft, brief, and background job can each show a different status. Check which item the label belongs to before deciding the next action.
Project statuses
Section titled “Project statuses”| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | A project exists in its draft state. |
| In Progress | The production is active. |
| Approved | Final project approval has been recorded. Check its selected release for delivery. |
| Archived | The project has been archived; this is different from moving it to Trash. |
An approved draft isn’t automatically an approved project. See versions and delivery.
Stage statuses
Section titled “Stage statuses”| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Locked | The stage is waiting for an earlier stage or dependency. |
| In progress | Work can continue. |
| Waiting for upload | The stage needs a file, including a requested revision. |
| Blocked | An issue prevents progress; resolve the issue before continuing. |
| Completed | The work is finished but may still require approval. |
| Approved | An authorized person approved the stage. |
Why is my stage locked?
Section titled “Why is my stage locked?”In a strict workflow, check the preceding stage. In a workflow with explicit dependencies, inspect each required stage in Flow view. Complete the required work and obtain its approval where required.
If you cannot update the prerequisite, ask the project owner or assignee. Changing stage order to bypass a lock can change the intended workflow.
If prerequisites are complete but the stage stays locked, refresh the project and ask the owner to check the workflow and dependency settings. See Flow and dependencies.
Draft review statuses
Section titled “Draft review statuses”| Status | Next step |
|---|---|
| Under review | Review the selected version and submit a decision when authorized. |
| Revisions requested | Read feedback and upload the next version through the upload stage. |
| Approved | This version was accepted; check release selection and final project approval separately. |
Comments, likes, or a completed playback don’t substitute for Approve or Request Changes. Multiple required approvers can affect when a decision becomes final.
Brief statuses
Section titled “Brief statuses”| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not sent | The brief is being prepared; it hasn’t been sent to the client. |
| Sent | The client link has been issued; substantive client answers haven’t started. |
| In progress | The client has entered answers. |
| Analyzing | Stago is processing the submitted material. |
| Questions sent | The owner returned questions to the client. |
| Ready | The brief is ready for owner review. |
| Approved | The owner approved the production plan. |
| Project | The approved brief became a project. |
| Archived | The brief was archived manually. |
Use Intelligent briefs for the complete handoff. A saved draft answer isn’t the same as a submitted brief.
Upload and AI processing
Section titled “Upload and AI processing”Transfer, media processing, transcription, and AI analysis are separate steps. A completed transfer doesn’t guarantee that the preview or analysis is ready.
For a queued or processing operation, wait for its final result and check the activity indicator. For a failed operation, read the visible error, confirm its input and permissions, and inspect credit history before retrying.
A finished transcript doesn’t necessarily mean its further analysis is finished. Check the tool’s own continuation action rather than submitting another copy of the source.
