Thumbnail and cover editor

Open AI Tools → Thumbnail Generator in the bottom toolbar. Create or open a thumbnail project, then choose the intended composition and output settings.

Build the composition

Use Add Person for a supplied person image, Add Text for editable title elements, Background for background material, and Style for visual direction. The canvas and layer controls let you select and arrange the elements.

Use Brush and Eraser only for the editing task offered by those controls. Check the selected layer before changing it so you don’t alter the wrong element.

A YouTube-style composition and a project cover may need different crops. Inspect the chosen ratio and resolution before generating or exporting.

Generate and inspect

Save the intended settings and inspect the credit cost for the selected resolution. Start generation once and wait for its status to finish. Reopen the thumbnail project to inspect the saved result if you leave the editor.

When Background needs your review appears, choose Inspect background. Check the full background for unwanted words, letters, numbers, or labels; the review hides your editable title so you can assess the background itself.

Confirm Background has no unwanted writing only after checking it. If it needs another attempt, revise the background instructions and inspect the next result. A review requirement doesn’t mean the previous AI generation was free.

Save and use the image

Keep the editable thumbnail project for later changes. Use the available download/export control for the finished image and inspect the exported file. To use it as a project cover, select the intended project and confirm Yes, set as cover.

Setting a project cover doesn’t automatically publish it to YouTube. Use YouTube publishing to choose the actual publishing thumbnail.

If the wrong result appears, check which thumbnail project is selected, whether generation is still running, and whether the settings were saved before the request.
